Ah oh gosh! Hello!

Hmm well around the time I started posting I guess I did not fully feel ready, but I felt obligated to get something up. Bad idea on my part and I began to get nervous over it (which is really silly of me. Ah cold feet syndrome, you are a terrible thing).

Though, my friends have been encouraging me to work on it again so I have been. I’ve been trying to get a few finished chapters done to put it out at a reasonable pace. I do promise it will continue though. Hopefully within this month I’ll start it again and it will become regular!

I might do animations for it too, but right now I guess I just want to make the intro just comic. The intro is the hardest part and I ended up rewriting some parts of the sanitarium a bit to flow better as well.

Thank you for being interested though! Like it really is encouraging and makes me feel a little less nervous about posting more! Hmm maybe if I post more dev stuff on here again rather than doing it to the side it’ll help push me forward!

Evercast launches today on Halloween as promised! Evercast is a morbid fiction/scifi based in a chaotic world that has lost it’s morals. The comic and story is heavily mixed with horror and surreal themes. The first chapter starts at noon PST and will gradually be updated over the course of the day and the next few days as well.

Come to that link at 12pm PST and I promise you there will be comics! Well, the first pages. More pages will steadily be added through the day and over the next few days as well. I wanted to post them all at once originally, but hey, this works better for me at the moment with time issues and wanting to make sure everything has a good quality.

Now I just need to customize that page a lot after I finish posting up the first chapter. Anyways, Happy Halloween, everyone! Let us hope this is the start to a wonderful and exciting journey!

Also I may not be able to finish all the pages as planned, but I still have a significant amount ready to put up. I might need to save the ambient music bits for other chapter updates or add them in afterwards, but we’ll see how it goes. Either way I’ll have things up in a few days. 8)

Okay so all of these are to be/have been inked digitally. That includes stuff on the back of these. These pages also do not include the ones I’ve been doing just digitally. I basically have been doing the penciled versions while I’m out because I don’t like dragging my tablet around with me. Thankfully a lot of these are done, but there’s more work yet!

…but yeah just to give people an idea of what I’ve been up to.

Oh goodness, thank you so much!! I would be lying if I said I did not do an excited little flattery dance upon reading this. I really, really appreciate hearing this! It’s super motivating!

I’m trying to have the first part ready and up for Halloween which means a lot of art and technical related stuff is going on to get things done. So far things are going well and I think I’ll be able to make the deadline in time!

I feel so inspired right now because of how well things have been with getting pages fully done. I’m trying to have it up on Halloween since EC is horror/macabre themed. I keep having to go through different page making process to see what I like so it’s been awhile (originally they were all going to be just digital, but I find penciling them first is easier and looks cooler in the end along with the digital painting on it), but I think I’ll be able to move really fast on upcoming parts since I’ll be settled with my process.

But yeah, aiming for Halloween, guys. It’ll be up in a chapter so they’ll be a good bit to read!

Okay so here’s one more thing.

So I’m going to set out the intro in a cluster of at least five pages.

Here’s part of one of the pages so you know how it’s going to look. Also school ends at the end of this week so there will be more time to work on this regularly. I also ended up having to purchase a new tablet as well due to the first dying, but oh well. Looking forward to putting the final intro pages together!

So although the script for the chapters is coming along nicely, I can’t help but feel the urge to make miniature comics that kind of introduce you guys to the characters in a much more intimate way rather than my “HAAAA LOOK AT THESE DRAWINGS, GUYS”. So I have the ideas in mind for how interviews with Zhen and Donahue would go. I’m not sure if they should be a part of the comic, like in between chapters or something, or just standalone things. I like the idea of doing SOMETHING between chapters however.

Anyways, I’ve started one of the miniscripts (it was a warm up for other writing I had to do, but got out of hand. It’s just… growing. God help me). Anyways, I still have a couple more weeks of college classes to go before summer break starts. Hopefully I’ll have one of the mini interviews ready then! I think I’m almost ready to start making the thumbnails and sketches for the first chapter. I’m still thinking about how I’m going to do hosting though. As nice as comic hosting sites can be, I personally would like to build an individual site.

Anyhow, stuff to be done and stuff to look forward to.

I included the very first drawing I did of him which is that thing where he’s faceless. It just magically happened one day during my astronomy course on our ten minute break. Ooo, mystical~! ~~exceptnotreally~~ I do need to make an update though.

Haha yup. Still doing the audio work with the comic as well! Not sure if having a “Soundtrack” will be a finalized thing yet, but I personally think it’d contribute a ton and would like to see that aspect through as well! I personally am very fond of this track.
